Tortilla Shells

6 c. shredded mozzarella cheese

1 pkg pepperoni

1 can (6 oz) tomato paste

1 (15 oz) tomato sauce

2 tsp dried oregano

2 Tbsp Italian Seasoning

½ tsp garlic powder

½ tsp onion powder

½ Tbsp garlic salt

¼ tsp black pepper

1 tsp sugar

When we were making our pizza quesadillas we realized that we didn't have any pizza sauce. We pulled out some ingredients from our pantry and made our own. It was delicious.

In a sauce pan add tomato paste, tomato sauce, dried oregano, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, garlic salt, freshly ground black pepper and sugar. Stir together and let simmer on low for 5 to 10 minutes.

Next on a cookie sheet place your tortilla shells and start adding pizza sauce to one side of your shell. Next spread out your shredded mozzarella cheese and pepperoni. Fold your shell in half and add cheese to the outside of your shell. Line your pan with as many pizzas as you can and put in your oven on the broil setting. Let cook for 5 minutes or until the outside cheese is golden brown. We loved how the broiler added a crispiness to the tortilla shells and outer layer of cheese. So yummy.
