2 French bread loaves

5 large eggs

1 cup milk

1 tsp vanilla

2 Tbsp ground cinnamon

maple syrup

Preheat oven to 350

Cut your french bread in half going down the length of the loaf. Once split into two pieces cut into even strips.

In a mixing bowl add your eggs, milk, vanilla and cinnamon and whisk until blended together.

Prepare a casserole dish by spraying it with a non stick spray. We like the olive oil one.

Dip the french bread strips into the egg mixture and place in your casserole dish. Leave a little space in-between each strip so they can cook evenly. Half way into the dipping process I add a little more cinnamon (optional).

Place in oven and bake for 10 to 15 minutes. Half way into your cook time turn the strips over so they can crisp up evenly.

Next time I'm going to try cooking them in our air fryer. Cook at 350 degrees for about 8 minutes or until crispy. Flipping in the middle of cook time will help add to the crispy outer layer. Yum!

On a side note. My family was still hungry after eating their french toast sticks. Add a side of eggs, sausages or bacon, fruit and orange juice to make this meal a complete one.
